DAY GECKO
Origin: East Africa and Madagascar
Size: Range from a few inches to a foot long
Diet: A variety of insects. Offer a fruit based baby food as well. Always provide a dish of calcium
Temperature: Most Day Geckos should be kept at 80-90 degrees. Night time temperature keep at 70-80 degrees
Heat/Lighting: UVB light is required. Mercury vapor bulbs are preferred. Basking light should be kept on the top of the enclosure since they are arboreal.
Enclosure: A 10 to 20 Gallon Aquarium is suitable for these geckos. Zoo Med makes a great enclosure for geckos.
Substrate: Cypress mulch, peat moss, coconut fiber or a soil type mixture.
Provide hiding places including plants, hollow logs or cork bark
